Commissioning of the Steam Pressure Reduction Station at KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. in Głogów – ICS196 – ICS196
We are pleased to present one of our latest projects – a two-stage steam reduction station, designed and constructed to supply the newly built copper concentrate drying plant.
The station was designed as a two-stage, two-line system, each line providing a capacity of 90 t/h of steam. This means that both reduction stages are fully duplicated, featuring two independent saturated steam pipelines, which ensures 100% throughput of steam supplied from the boiler and high system reliability.
- The first reduction stage is responsible for maintaining a constant, adjustable steam pressure in the boiler drum. The inlet pressure to the station (in the boiler drum) is maintained at a nominal level of 40 barg, with a maximum allowable pressure of 55 barg.
- The second reduction stage ensures a stable steam pressure of approximately 22 barg, which supplies the copper concentrate drying plant.
Thanks to this configuration, the station is characterized by high reliability, precise control of operating parameters, and flexibility in adapting to changing operational conditions.
