Completion of Project ICS200
We are pleased to announce that today the last boiler (K3) within Project ICS200 has been commissioned. The project included the execution of a flue gas nitrogen oxides reduction installation for two boilers (No. K1 and K4) of type WR-25, along with an installation for unloading, storage, and distribution of ammonia water (RMD), as well as a combustion process optimization (carbon monoxide reduction) installation for boiler No. K3 type WR-25.
Benefits of the NET installation:
- Improved turbulence and swirl of the flue gas stream, positively affecting combustion quality and reducing nitrogen oxide emissions,
- Reduction of the stoichiometric ratio in the combustion chamber, resulting in higher boiler efficiency,
- Low operating costs due to the elimination of water injection into the combustion chamber,
- High reliability and stability of system operation.
The end user of the system is the Municipal Heating Plant Department at Zakład Energetyki Cieplnej Sp. z o.o. in Pabianice, and the general contractor of the project was ELEMONT Sp. z o.o.
Project ICS200 represents another step toward improving energy efficiency and reducing pollutant emissions in municipal heating systems.
